FAQs

I’m new to Pilates. What class should I do first & what should I bring?

Welcome to Bodyfirst Pilates! We welcome all ages, genders and backgrounds to Pilates.

All of our classes are beginner friendly, however, we do recommend starting with our Bodyfirst Pilates Reformer Classes on Mon, Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sundays.

Our Jumpboard Cardio classes on Tuesdays & Wednesdays are great, just a little fast-paced for a complete beginner.

Please wear appropriate activewear (trackpants, leggings, bike shorts etc), bring a drink bottle, grippy socks and a positive attitude!

How long do the classes go for?

Majority of our classes go for a duration of 45mins, giving you 5mins before and after each class to stretch and cool down. However, the 6:00am class is an express 35 mins so its go go go!

Can I bring my puppy or baby/child?

Of course! We love our furry friends and baby cuddles. We also have some great places for kids to read and chill out while you workout. We simply ask that you be responsible for their behaviour.

For our mums, we have stairs to come up to the studio so please let us know if you need help with prams.

I’m on a membership, how do I pause or cancel my membership?

Memberships may be paused for holidays or injury/sickness with 1 week notice for a duration of up to 4 weeks within a 12 month period. Please be specific with your dates so we can pause it correctly.

If you are going away or have an injury/sickness for longer than 4 weeks you can cancel anytime. We do not allow refunds so you are permitted to use the studio for the week/month that you paid for.

How do waitlists and cancellations work?

When you book a class that is already full, you will automatically be placed on the waitlist. You will receive a confirmation email.

When someone cancels, you will receive an email to book a class. Its first in best dressed so be quick.

If your plans change and you are no longer available to attend the class even if you are on the waitlist please cancel it. In the event of a last minute cancellation (e.g 1 hour before) we will assume you are still available and automatically book the first person on the waitlist. You will receive a confirmation email and we go the extra step to send a text to you.

If you are booked into a class and can no longer make the class time, please let us know with plenty of time so it gives ones on the waitlist plenty of time to book! You will receive a class credit back if you let us know 12 hours or more ahead of time.
